SCAPE° is an exhibition and interactive space in Offenbach city centre. Under the motto ‘Weather, climate, change. We explain and explore it together’, the exhibition brings weather and climate to life in a playful way and shows the role humans play in them: from measuring, analysing and forecasting the weather to climate adaptation and climate protection measures. Numerous hands-on stations and interactive exhibits illustrate the fundamental physical principles that govern our world and, consequently, the weather. Is the weather chaotic? Can there be any order to it? Why is the wind so important? And what defines the climate? Children, young people and adults are invited to explore and research scientific topics, as well as to engage in collaborative or artistic discussions. SCAPE° means immersing yourself in fascinating science time and time again... The exhibition spans one floor, is accessible to all and free of charge.

Alongside the exhibition, there is an extensive programme for all age groups, such as workshops for nurseries and schools, as well as events for young people and adults. The focus here is always on providing valuable inspiration for climate- and environmentally-conscious urban living.
SCAPE° is a collaboration between the German Weather Service (DWD) as the scientific partner and the City of Offenbach’s departments for cultural management, economic development, and environment and climate – and is also one of 16 projects under the ‘Future Concept for the City Centre’ aimed at redesigning the centre of Offenbach to create vibrant spaces for everyone.
