In this local history museum, you feel like you were in great-grandmother's times, in the corner shop from 1900 everything is available, from sock holders to curd soap to lime coffee. There is a bed in the shoemaker's workshop, as this was usually the shoemaker's bedroom in the past. A saddlery workshop can also be seen, these craftsmen needed leather. In order to tan this, you had to peel oak bark (Rennekloppe) which is shown on the upper floor. In the kitchen the cat is lying on the wooden box next to the stove and the salad is lying in the water stone to be cleaned. You might think that the housewife just went outside to have a chat. Traditional costumes from the Beerfeld region are on display in the Gut Stube. A picture wall tells of the railway line that existed between Hetzbach and Beerfelden until 1954. In addition, this museum clearly conveys the textile production from flax to linen. In addition to agriculture, people also had to earn their living through forest work, beekeeping, in quarries or diamond grinding. This can all be seen in the museum.
