The life-sized sandstone statue and the finds from the burials at the Glauberg remained undiscovered in the ground for nearly 2,500 years. Those originals are at the centre of our exhibition. Additionally, visitors can also admire the finds from settlements at the Glauberg and its surroundings. Multimedia installations and a fictional story in comic style take visitors back to the age of the Celts. The exhibition of Keltenwelt am Glauberg is housed in what is currently one of the most spectacular museum buildings in Germany. It sheds light on the culture of the Celts from a number of significantly different perspectives, but the centrepiece always are the spectacular finds from the Glauberg. The exhibition takes into account the enormous range of manifestations of “Celtic” culture – from the Celts of the 6th to 1st centuries BC, the would-be Celts of the British Isles, to today’s “Celtic world” in music, customs and fashion.
