Information

Icons are the cult and sacred images of the Eastern Church. The exhibition at the Ikonen-Museum Frankfurt shows the whole variety of icon art, both in a stylistic-artistic way and in the extensive choice of topics. The collection focuses on Russian icons from the 16th to the 20th century, but also offers a look at Italian-Cretan, Greek, Bulgarian and Ethiopian icon art.
