Every year, when the sun casts its glow over the enchanting little town of Weilburg from June to August, music comes to life within the historic walls of Weilburg Castle. The Weilburg Castle Concerts International Music Festival opens the door to a world of musical highlights. This unique event, affectionately known as “Little Salzburg”, has been taking place for more than half a century and is becoming increasingly popular.

Under the directorship of Stephan Schreckenberger, an exquisite program is offered year after year that makes the hearts of music lovers beat faster. A good 45 concerts by world-class soloists and international orchestras enchant the audience. The picturesque backdrop of the Schlossberg, surrounded by the majestic Lahnschleife, provides the perfect stage for artists from all over the world.

The Weilburg Castle Concerts are not only a meeting place for the elite of the classical music world, but also a place where up-and-coming young artists can develop their talent. In addition to the impressive piano recitals and symphony concerts, the festival offers a broad musical spectrum ranging from early music to jazz. With special concerts for children, the youngest listeners are also catered for.

Matinees, jazz performances, cabaret events and a wide range of different genres ensure a varied festival experience. And the best thing about it: thanks to the media partnership with Hessischer Rundfunk, some concerts can be followed not only locally but also throughout Europe.
