Information

With 4000 m² of exhibition space, the Vonderau Museum Fulda is the largest museum between Kassel and Frankfurt. It was founded in 1875 with the donation of a private collection. The house was named after Joseph Vonderau, a teacher and local historian who discovered numerous objects from the Stone Age, Bronze Age and Iron Age during excavations, and later helped to develop the museum further as a honorary leader. Today, the museum houses three permanent exhibitions on culture, nature and art with a regional focus, as well as a small planetarium.
