THEATER WILLY PRAML is a theatre that has emerged one hundred percent from the roots of independent theatre work, committed to its intentions and fed by the continuity of this kind of experience. In a chain of traditions developed over four decades of work (since 1968ff), such different currents flow together in it as that of a theatre of emancipatory, political education work (60s/70s) developed with different groups of the population, of project work at the most diverse focal points of contemporary and historical, social questions (since the 80s), experimental theatre that is as committed to the possibilities of modern art as it is to the traditional forms of the performing arts (since 1990), which, based on the processing of the great myths, materials and texts of our cultural history, strives for a new view of the classics of the past and present with the understanding of theatre as space, body and language theatre.
