Colourful, mobile, floating yet well balanced, a cheerful play of forms of artistic liveliness, a mood-lifter: the Mobile - this is the name of the theatre Credo, principle and programme of the association of stage enthusiasts. The move into the basement of the district court marked a new phase in the work of the group, which had already come together as an amateur theatre group in Bensheim at the end of the 1960s. Even then, the ambitious productions of the "Neue Theatergruppe Bensheim" were highly regarded by the public. Under changing directors, the group dedicated itself to plays that corresponded to the politically critical and committed intellectual climate of the time. In the meantime, "Theater Mobile" has become a brand name for intelligent entertainment.
