The TheaterGrueneSosse is a mobile repertory theater with permanent venues in the Theaterhaus Frankfurt and in the Löwenhof. It stands for high-quality, contemporary theater for and with young audiences. Plays are shown for children from the age of 4 and plays are produced for children and young people from the age of 7.
The TheaterGrueneSosse has been working continuously in Frankfurt am Main for 42 years.
In addition to our regular performances in the Theaterhaus Frankfurt and the Löwenhof, we play everywhere: in theatres, community centers and town halls, cultural centers and schools.
Two ideas shape our stage plays: Firstly, we believe in stories, in their meaning and in their community-building power. And secondly, every production is an attempt to research new theatrical media and content. Elements of dance, performance and autobiographical theater are included. Due to the principle of changing direction, new aesthetic signatures are constantly being developed and brought into contact with our view and experience of the world.
