Textland Literaturfest
Textland deals with the dynamic development of literature and language as well as science and art in our pluralistic living environments. The Textland Literature Festival is an annual festival. Other permanent formats include the Textland LAB writing workshops for young people, the Textland author videos and the Textland Reader. Textland has established itself as an event format since 2018 and is perceived as a stage for radical diversity. Literary and journalistic voices present different narratives on the growing challenges of a pluralistic society.
In lively conversations and discussions, the authors take a close look at topics such as structural racism, discrimination and stigmatization and look for ways that can lead to an inclusive form of coexistence in the long term. This takes place as part of a process that opens up new perspectives on reality.
The central concern of Textland is to highlight the special performance of literature and theater as a fictional space of reflection for the negotiation of the political.
