The exhibition presents the history of the German division and the inner-German border through contemporary press reports, photos, exhibits and a video film. Furthermore, visitors can learn about the former border barriers in Rhön with the help of a 3D-model. The exhibition clarifies the tasks of the German customs border service at the inner German border. Weapons, utensils and uniforms of the former NVA border troops are also on display.
