Information
The museum focusses on the representation of local pottery. Working with clay is one of the oldest forms of creative expression. Urberacher pottery was manufactured as early as the 18th century and found buyers worldwide. Urberach became known as one of the strongholds of the Hessian pottery. The intention of establishing the pottery museum, which also includes a pottery workshop, was to bring this craft tradition closer to today's population.
