In the terraced house built by Simon Ravenstein, which was part of a planned artist settlement, the museum presents numerous paintings, including sketches, design drawings, letters, secondary literature and the originally preserved studio of the painter Wilhelm Steinhausen. The artist's studio is probably the only one from the 19th century that has been preserved in the Rhine-Main region.
