Centrally located in the middle of Germany and Hesse's green centre. On the northern edge of the Rhine-Main region, Friedberg is the most important transport hub between Frankfurt and Gießen. The traffic arteries converging here form Germany's main north-south route from Hamburg via Frankfurt to the Alps.
