Entrance fees
Borrowing is free for children up to and including 14 years of age. Pupils, trainees, students, as well as recipients of unemployment benefit II (ALG II) and social assistance according to the Twelfth Book of the Social Code (SGB XII) aged 15 and over pay EUR 5 annual rental fee, adults EUR 15. The annual fee for families is EUR 20.

The city library offers around 40,000 media on three floors for literature fans young and old. Here you will find non-fiction books, novels, books for children and young people, foreign language books in English, French, Italian and Turkish, large print books, magazines and newspapers. A wide selection of other media such as radio play CDs for children and adults, music CDs, film DVDs, games and language courses can also be borrowed.
