For many years, the summer festival under the artistic direction of kuenstlerhaus43 has enriched the cultural life of our city. What began as a small open-air theatre has developed into an integral part of the cultural summer in Wiesbaden. The programme is designed to ensure that there is something for everyone. This year, children can enjoy ‘The Wizard of Oz’. Comedy lovers will get their money's worth with “Auszeit” and ‘Match me if you can’. Those who love chansons will have their wishes fulfilled with ‘La môme Piaf’. The in-house productions ‘Mord in Aussicht’ (improvised crime thriller) and the Open Air Grand Slam (poetry slam) are perennial favourites. One highlight is the travesty show ‘Gina & Glinda’.
