Information

In the new Romrod Museum on Alsfelder Straße not far from the historic castle, the "Kulturscheune", not only the finds of the archaeological excavations in the castle, but also the history of the village of Romrod and its historical personalities are comprehensively presented. The ensemble of Romrod Castle, the former synagogue and its adjoining culture barn forms a cultural-historical "crystallization point", also in connection with the Romrod synagogue typical for the life of the local country Jews. In Romrod, the everyday life of a castle more than 800 years ago is documented. The excavation findings brought to light with the beginning of the construction site "barn" have been evaluated in an elaborate sequence. On the first floor is a pictorial representation of the wooded plain of the former hunting lodge from the 16th and 17th centuries.
