Since 1983, open-air festivals have been held here every year in August. Through the Wolfschlucht gorge, which runs directly behind the castle, the performances experience a very special relationship to the performance venue in the large castle courtyard, which is characterised by good acoustics and offers space for around 800 guests. During the festival weeks, margravial wine and sparkling wine, an opera buffet and a rustic snack stand alongside the local catering establishments provide for the culinary well-being of festival visitors.
