Information

The Roman town of Obernburg is located on the Limes UNESCO World Heritage Site and is widely known as the ‘Pompeii on the Main’ due to the special state of preservation of its important ancient artefacts. These unique finds, such as a beneficiarius station, a burial ground and a Jupiter giant column, give an authentic impression of ancient life in the fort.

For children, there is an exciting museum rally for different age groups, audio stations and a museum education room - where they can try on armour and robes. Fun for young and old that invites you to linger.
