Information

The history of Bad Soden as a spa town comes to life in its parks. The Quellenpark, designed by garden director Thelemann in 1856, was once the heart of the drinking cure. Its landmark, the Sodeniatempel from 1886 above the bubbling Solquelle IV spring, remains a central attraction to this day. Where a promenade hall once invited visitors to take the waters, there is now a lively dance school. Just a few steps away is Wilhelmspark, laid out in 1911 by the Siesmayer brothers and characterised by its old trees and three fountains, including the charming Champagne Fountain. The neighbouring Hundertwasserhaus, built in 1993, provides a modern contrast: a colourful fairytale castle that sits securely on 251 concrete piles above the spring protection area.
