Information

The local history and history association was founded in 1987. He maintains the historical memory in the village with regional historical and cultural events, writings on the village's history and regular exhibitions.

As a central place of historical memory, the association has set up a village museum in an old farm at Limesstrasse 10-12.

The village working and living conditions of earlier times are presented in several rooms. Our exhibitions are life and living 100 years ago, historical agriculture, crafts 100 years ago - brickworks in Ostheim, diamond cutters in Ostheim, locksmiths, shoemakers, saddlers, wheelwrights and carpenters.

The exhibition rooms are regularly open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. We offer a special service from March to October on every 2nd Sunday of the month as part of the museum café with coffee and cake sales.

The Ostheim local history and history association is a member of the Hessian Museum Association.
