The town of Bad Orb invites artists from the Main-Kinzig district and the Kinzigtal, Vogelsberg and Spessart regions to take part in the OrbArt 2026 competition. Entries will be judged by a jury of seven people.

Under the theme ‘H₂O’, up to 25 works will be presented in an exhibition at the Kulturbahnhof.

1st prize: €1,500

2nd prize: €900

3rd prize: €600

• - Klaus Stutzer (Claus Fried), artist
• - Sylvia Mehlhorn, a member of the public with a passion for art and culture
• - Dr Ralph Philipp Ziegler, Head of the Cultural Affairs Office of the City of Offenbach, cultural manager, musicologist

Based on anonymised digital images of the online submissions, the jury will select, in a closed session, up to 25 works to be presented in the exhibition at the Kulturbahnhof in Bad Orb. Only these works will be submitted in their original form. From the original works submitted, the jury will select the winners who will receive Art Prizes 1 to 3. The jury reserves the right to split the art prizes.

All prize-winning entrants will be notified by email. The decision is final. Legal recourse is excluded.

Exhibition

The exhibition will open with the presentation of the Bad Orb Art Prize on 19 September 2026 at 5.00 pm at the Kulturbahnhof in Bad Orb, Bahnhofstraße 1.

The closing event will take place on 4 October 2026 at 5.00 pm at the Kulturbahnhof.

Thursday to Saturday: 2.00 pm to 6.00 pm

Sundays: 11.00 am to 6.00 pm
