ObArt – Biennale für regionale Kunst Bad Orb
The Kulturkreis would like to point out that, under the theme ‘Aufbruch – Umbruch – Wandel’ (Departure – Upheaval – Change), the ‘OrbArt’ art competition will be held for the first time this year under the patronage of the town of Bad Orb.
The official announcement with all the important details on the conditions of participation is now available at www.orbart.de and is aimed at artists with a biographical connection to the Main-Kinzig district. Registration will be open from 1 March 2024 and will close automatically once the limit of 200 registrations has been reached, but no later than 30 March 2024.
A seven-member jury will decide on the admission of the works, which must initially be submitted digitally, and will later award art prizes 1 to 3, worth 1,000 euros, 500 euros and 250 euros, from the original works submitted. Visitors to the Biennale will also have a say, as there is also an audience award worth 300 euros.
The works of the selected artists will be exhibited at the Kulturbahnhof, Bahnhofstraße 1, 63619 Bad Orb. The opening of the exhibition and the award ceremony for art prizes 1 to 3 will take place on 21 September 2024 at 5 p.m. at the Kulturbahnhof in Bad Orb. The audience award will be presented at the closing event on 5 October 2024 at 5 p.m., also at the Kulturbahnhof in Bad Orb.
