Information

In 1983 the association NIDDAER HEIMATMUSEUM e.V. was founded in Nidda. Today the museum offers a permanent exhibition and two large additional rooms for special exhibitions as well as one for lectures. Here, visitors can find exhibits on local and regional history, church and technology history, from prehistory and early history to local crafts (craftsmen's workshop, printing workshop, pottery, furniture production, photographers) to rural utensils and objects of everyday use. Regular special exhibitions on local history, lecture events and also art exhibitions always make a visit to the local history museum worthwhile. Two more permanent exhibitions have been set up with three more rooms in the adjoining building, a town hall from 1811.
