Neuer Kurpark Bad Soden
Neuer Kurpark Bad Soden
open daily
From a kitchen garden to a modern oasis of relaxation: the new spa gardens in Bad Soden tell an impressive story of transformation. Where potatoes and vegetables were grown to feed the population during the years of deprivation after the Second World War, a visionary park concept emerged in the 1960s. Under the leadership of landscape architect Herbert Werner Dirks, a spacious area with striking sightlines was developed between the railway station and Eichwald.
Today, the park captivates visitors with its botanical diversity – from exotic sequoia trees to catalpa trees, many of which were financed by donations from Bad Soden citizens. The soothing water feature of the snail fountain and the eight-metre-high fountain characterise the atmosphere. Modern accents such as wild herb meadows, insect hotels and inviting wooden deckchairs make the park a lively place for nature lovers and those seeking peace and quiet alike.
