Information
The house itself, a half-timbered house from 1584, is worth a visit with its clay stucco ceiling on the 1st floor and the open roof frame on the 2nd floor. After complete renovation and a new conception in 2021, the permanent exhibition on the ground floor bears the title: "From absolutism to democracy: a hunting lodge is changing". It deals with the checkered history of the Bickenbach hunting lodge built in 1720. In the annex there are exhibits on local metal processing (foundry, locksmith, smithy). Furthermore, changing special exhibitions are held in the attic. The respective topics can be found on the homepage of the association www.museum-bickenbach.de
