The museum near the Imperial Palace is a museum of the city's history. Ingelheim's history was shaped in a special way by one specific ruler: Charlemagne. He had a magnificent imperial palace built here. The remains of the palace can still be visited today. The museum itself is located in the entrance of this important monument.
