Information

Idyllically located in the former forester's lodge, the museum vividly conveys the development of Viernheim from its origins to the recent past. The permanent exhibition is divided into the areas of archaeology and early history, life in the village community, the development from village to town and family life in the 20th century. Individual topics are examined in greater detail in special exhibitions.
The exhibition tour continues in the museum garden. Here you will find technical and stone monuments, a monastery garden and a nature trail.
Public guided tours and educational activities are held at regular intervals. There is a museum rally for children.
The extensive programme of events can be viewed on the museum's website.
