Information
The town gate of Tann was built during the constructions of the surrounding wall in the 16th century by Eberhard von der Tann. In addition to its defense purposes, it also served as a confinement room. Today, it showcases a guardroom with a dungeon and a constable. Illustrated panels provide information about the history of the gate and the city walls, about famous people from Tann, and the history of Jewish inhabitants.
