The city history collection is housed in the old town hall, a classicist stone building built in 1826/27. It illustrates the development of Langen from prehistory and early history to the 20th century. The exhibition focuses on the history of Wolfsgarten Palace, the Wilhelmine Empire, the Weimar Republic and National Socialism. This is followed by the presentation of Langen's political and economic development after 1945.
