MitMachAusstellung
Binger Straße 9-11
55218 Ingelheim am Rhein
Since 2004, an annual MitMach exhibition has been held in Ingelheim. Each year it has a different theme. For three months, children are offered a space where they can be completely childlike. The main focus is on creativity and experiencing with all the senses. With few financial means, the association Mitmachausstellung e.V. realizes interactive exhibitions and workshops that enrich the cultural and educational landscape in our region. Anyone who enters the historic "old market hall" during this time is immersed in a participatory world. In our temporary, living children's museum, learning spaces and learning worlds are created that convey the fun and joy of learning and doing. They encourage visitors to try things out for themselves and invite them to try things out for themselves. Wondering about natural phenomena trains the senses and illuminates complex facts about our living environments, the natural sciences, art and literature. Children and all those who engage with it in an unbiased and unprejudiced way can ask, experiment, understand. The objects want to surprise - they want to be touched and tried out. That's why our motto is: Please touch!

Popular with young and old, the MiMa exhibition invites visitors from June 27 to October 26 to embark on a journey into the afterlife. Here, visitors of all ages will discover rituals and traditions from a wide variety of cultures. Fairy tales, myths, and games show us how we and other cultures and generations deal with death, farewell, and grief. "Tell me about death" is a positively moving exhibition with many interactive stations. Creatively and using all of their senses, visitors will find inspiration and freedom to develop their own thoughts and become aware of their own ideas.
Through its playful and sensitive approach, this exhibition will not frighten or depress; quite the opposite: it will bring death back to life, celebrate life, and get people talking.
A return guarantee from the afterlife is included in this journey, so get your passport!
