The Limburg Maritime Museum is housed in the cat tower, first mentioned in 1432 and one of the few remaining towers of the former city fortification, located on the banks of the river Lahn. On three floors, the Marine Community, founded in 1982, presents images and scale models of ships such as the battleship "Bismarck" and the former patent ship of the city of Limburg, the supply ship of the first submarine squadron "Tender Lahn".
