Information

Langbein Museum Hirschhorn shows the "Natural and Antiquities Collection" by Carl Langbein (1816-1881), a Hirschhorn businessman and innkeeper. The special charm of the Langbein collection lies in its surprising variety for today's visitors. The collection of Carl Langbein consists of sacred and profane objects, which at first glance seem to have no common ground: furniture, animal taxidermies and minerals form an exciting show of bizarre, touching and valuable objects. Visitors will also get an impressive overview of the native, in some cases also endangered, wildlife.
