Information

‘White as whipped cream’ – Bad Nauheim's ‘liquid treasure’ bubbles up to greet visitors as soon as they arrive at the station. The impressive interplay of architecture, water and garden art marks the magnificent entrance to the spa gardens and bears witness to the town's rich tradition as a salt and spa town.

What began in 1792 as a noble pleasure garden around what is now the ‘Teichhaus’ developed into a horticultural masterpiece in the 19th century. In 1857, the famous garden architect Heinrich Siesmayer created a representative park in the English landscape style. He skilfully combined the old with the new: wide meadows, majestic solitary trees and ornate flower beds merge to form a harmonious whole.

Today, the spa gardens are the lively heart of the town. Whether strolling by the large pond, discovering botanical rarities or playing sports, the park offers space for relaxation and history in equal measure.
