Information
With sixty cellars and seven floors, the Kupferbergterrasse is the deepest sparkling wine cellar in the world. Visitors are guided through the museum and the historical cellars as they learn interesting facts about the history of the house Kupferberg and the production of sparkling wine. The museum houses one of the world's largest collections of sparkling wine and champagne glasses. It also showcases ancient amphoras, jugs and drinking bowls, which were found during excavations. Ornate oak barrels can be admired in the medieval cellar rooms. The Grape Hall is a masterpiece of Art Nouveau, which was rebuilt after being used as an exhibition pavilion at the Paris World Exhibition in 1900.
