The art society Rüsselsheim was founded in September 1993 by art-interested citizens of Rüsselsheim. According to its charter, the art society is committed to the promotion and mediation of contemporary art (visual arts, literature and music), fulfilling this through changing exhibitions, readings, music events, guided tours, artist talks, lectures and other mediation activities. The art society Rüsselsheims focuses on central issues concerning the production, presentation, mediation and condition of contemporary art.
