Information
The Jakobskirche in the immediate vicinity of the Bad Homburg Castle was inaugurated in 1724 as a French Reformed church, used by the Catholic community in the 19th century and served as a gymnasium for more than 100 years. In October 2012, Galerie Scheffel acquired the listed religious building together with its extension and adjacent garden as the second exhibition location in Bad Homburg. After three years of refurbishment and extensive renovations and restoration work on the entire building complex, Galerie Scheffel's new art space opened in 2016 under the name of Jakobshallen.
