Where the Nahe flows into the Rhine, one of Germany's most beautiful riverside promenades stretches for three kilometres. The Binger Kulturufer is much more than just a park: it is the magnificent entrance to the Upper Middle Rhine Valley UNESCO World Heritage Site. From the park at the Mäuseturm tower to the vibrant Rhein-Nahe-Eck and the modern harbour park, the former state horticultural show grounds combine nature, history and joie de vivre.
Visitors can expect a fascinating variety of attractions: while the park at the Mäuseturm tower delights with its sports areas and the multimedia exhibition ‘Man, Nature, Technology’, the Hindenburg complex invites visitors to stroll among English rose gardens and historic poets' cabinets. Culture lovers will find deep insights into the life of Hildegard von Bingen and the city's 2,000-year history at the Museum am Strom, an industrial monument dating from 1898. A walk along the riverbank also reveals maritime relics such as the medieval Rhine crane, the harmonious twin town gardens and an incomparable panoramic view of the Niederwald Monument.
