Information

At approximately twelve hectares, Kätcheslachpark is the green heart of the young Kalbach-Riedberg district. As a modern, multifunctional park, it cleverly combines recreational fun with ecological vision.

Nature with Function and Panoramic Views

Thanks to its prominent location on the Riedberg hilltop, visitors enjoy spectacular views – sometimes sweeping across the Frankfurt skyline, sometimes reaching as far as the heights of the Taunus mountains. But the park offers even more: As an important fresh air corridor, it channels cool air from the Taunus directly into the city, ensuring a pleasant climate even on hot summer days.

Activity and Water Management

Whether on the two playgrounds, the basketball court, or the expansive meadows – there's room for everyone here. A hidden gem is the Kätcheslachweiher pond: Concealed behind reeds and willow bushes lies an ingenious rainwater management system. The pond is not only an idyllic spot with a viewing platform, but also serves as a retention basin, actively protecting against flooding and promoting groundwater recharge.
