Information
The International Ensemble Modern Academy (IEMA) is the training centre of the Ensemble Modern and was founded in 2003 with the aim of communicating the diverse contemporary trends and an open, creative approach to artistic processes. It offers training programmes for various target groups, from educational projects and international masterclasses for instrumentalists to formats for young artists at the beginning of their careers. The IEMA also sees itself as a platform for discursive formats such as symposia. The focus is on the master's programme, which has been run in cooperation with the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts (HfMDK) since 2006.
