Herbert- und Reisinger Anlage
open daily
They are the calling card of the state capital: Located directly adjacent to the main train station, the Landesmuseum, and the Rhein-Main CongressCenter, the Reisinger and Herbert Anlage welcomes visitors with the high quality of life for which Wiesbaden is world-renowned. As a listed "green belt," the gardens connect the Salzbachtal valley to Wilhelmstrasse and the historic gardens at the Kurhaus (spa building) via a pedestrian route.
This work of garden art captivates visitors with its expansive water feature, lush perennial flowerbeds, and a striking promenade. While the fountain, donated by Hugo Reisinger in 1932, draws the eye, the Europa statue and the murals underscore the city's international openness. Where once the focus was primarily on visual expansiveness, life now pulsates: The expansive lawns invite visitors to linger and play, while in summer the gardens become a stage for popular open-air events. In the coming years, this ensemble will be complemented by a modern water playground, which will carefully carry the historic design into the future.
