The local history museum is housed in the rooms of the former Stockstadt town hall. Exhibitions on local and regional history are the main focus of the museum. Objects from prehistoric and protohistoric times, the Roman period, the Middle Ages, the town fortifications and the Mainz customs station as well as the trading companies are presented. In addition, the development of the village from a farming village to an industrial location between the 16th and 19th centuries is presented.
