Information

A touch of nostalgia and dust floats through the dimly lit rooms with the small windows. The local history museum originated in 1972 from the untiring passion of the Sprendlinger collector Wolfgang Genther. In search of an accommodation for his extensive collection, he found a Franconian farmhouse from 1751, which belonged to the winemaker Klaus Reutter, in the St. Johanner Straße. This building was acquired by the local community and was renovated on the outside, while the family Genther took over the interior re-design. Now, it houses the collection of countless individual pieces.
