Information

The history of the village of Schwanheim, which was first mentioned in a document in 880, is presented in the local museum. The replica of a well shaft that belonged to a Roman manor is the focus of the archaeological collection. The diverse objects of the moated castle Goldstein show medieval life. The works of the sculptors and gilders who have been doing their handicrafts in Schwanheim since 1760 are another highlight of the extensive exhibition.
