The local history museum in the Pohlheim district of Watzenborn-Steinberg presents exhibits from various living areas in the style of the period after the turn of the century (19th/20th century). A living room and bedroom are furnished in period style, as well as a kitchen and a summer kitchen. Extensive photographic material complements the exhibits and provides an insight into village life. Traditional costume dolls in original Watzenborn costume and everything that belongs to traditional costume show village fashion from two centuries. A music room with reference to the ‘Singing Town of Pohlheim’, a traditional costume room and a children's room, rooms of various trades such as a shoemaker's and a bookbinder's workshop, the Pohlheim room with objects from the individual districts and the Franz Bayer Gallery can all be found in the museum.
