Information
In addition to a glimpse into local history, the Heimatmuseum Ockenheim primarily provides an insight into the everyday world of living and working in the 19th and 20th centuries. In two fully furnished apartments with kitchen and living room from around 1900 and the 1950s, earlier living environments can be "understood", because cupboards and drawers can be opened here. In the classroom, children and adults can sit in the wooden school desks and write on slates with slate pencils.
In addition to old equipment from agriculture and winegrowing and earlier household appliances in the laundry room, old trades such as tailors and hairdressers, shoemakers or carpenters and even a midwife are presented.
