Information
The Ober-Flörsheim Museum of Local History is located in a representative commandery building of the Teutonic Order from the middle of the 18th century. The museum's exhibition on the history of Ober-Flörsheim shows the town's close connection to the Teutonic Order, a Roman Catholic religious order, which had its southernmost settlement in Ober-Flörsheim from 1237 to 1797.
The museum's collections also include tools and devices linked to agriculture, viticulture, household and handicrafts. One focus lies on the Rhinehessen pottery trade, which used to be the source of income for many families in the area and has since died out.
