Information
The museum of local heritage can be found in the former teacher's house on the corner of Schulstrasse and Turmstrasse in Nieder-Roden. After an expansion in 2011, devotional objects, archaeological finds, a laundry room, a sewing room and a storage cellar, as well as a historic two-room apartment with a kitchen can be seen in ten permanent exhibition rooms. Since August 2014, a new topic has been introduced on the upper floor. A classroom was rebuilt in which visitors can feel transported back to the early days of the 20th century. Annual temporary exhibitions are shown in an exhibition room. In the small cinema hall, the topics are prepared in an audio-visual way.
