The "Heimatfreunde Bad Salzschlirf" have created a museum of a special kind for Bad Salzschlirf. Salzschlirfer customs, the old colourful costumes, the beginning of the spa industry, family crests and local history can be viewed here. The Dr. Martiny room is furnished as a mud bathroom; photographs illustrate the former bathing traditions. A second room is dedicated to the local historian Gustav Iller. An extensive costume collection and old linen fabrics can be viewed in the traditional costume room. Furthermore, an 18th-century loom, an old four-poster bed, as well as farm equipment, an old original cobbler's workshop, porcelain and sacral objects are exhibited.
