Information

Discover the Paper Theater Museum with a paper theater stage. The "Museum in the Museum" is a unique gem with an attractive permanent exhibition featuring 20 complete paper theater stages. Opera glasses are extremely helpful during performances. It is important tobe quick to reserve a seat, because seats are limited to 25. Paper theaters are miniature theaters that were produced and published as "cut-out sheets" in Germany and England beginning around 1810, and later in other European countries. When set up, a fascinating three-dimensionality is created with the help of multiple sets and backdrops.
