Information

A shimmering pond, bordered by swaying willows and alders: Höchster Stadtpark is a verdant idyll with a special flair. Greylag geese glide across its surface, while turtles rest in the reeds. The stone arched bridge, spanning the water at its narrowest point and leading into a tranquil pond, has a particularly fairytale-like quality.

This oasis looks back on over 100 years of history. Originally laid out on marshland, landscape architects Waldecker and Hartrath created a recreational space for the growing industrial city starting in 1908. Today, the park is part of Frankfurt's Green Belt and combines historical charm with modern leisure amenities: Since its complete renovation in 2014, refurbished paths, new riverside areas, and a modern playground invite visitors to linger. A place where the soul can breathe deeply amidst ancient trees and expansive meadows.
